Who is Darryn
Lombard?

My Story. My Testimony.
I am the Christ-following husband to Alisha Lombard, father to Anthony Lombard, and CEO/Founder of Frameless Picture (FP). My love for Christ pales in comparison to Christ's love for me, and precedes my love and appreciation for my greatest supporter and partner, my beautiful wife Alisha. My son Anthony gives a significant portion of entertainment and connection every day of the week, and is a wonderful daily reminder of the innocence and beauty that Life has to offer.
When I was six years old, I gave my life to The Lord. My sister and mother were present at the time, and got to share the precious, unforgettable moment. Six years later, at age 12, I was baptized.
The gift of my life does not go unappreciated. At age seven, I underwent major brain surgery to remove a benign tumor located directly behind my pituitary gland. My survival was a miracle that was nothing short of a display of The Lord's grace, mercy, truth, and love. With a thankful heart, I am a living testimony of God's goodness, and I continually hope to never take for granted the gift I've been given.
Throughout my later school years, I directed my attention toward musical activities. I also simultaneously battled with severe bouts of depression, anxiety, self-harm, PTSD, and what was later diagnosed as bipolar disorder. During this time, I abandoned my faith, struggling to reconcile the reality of suffering with the truth of God's fullness of power and goodness.
In college, I led and co-managed a band named DDX. Over the course of four years in this role, I gained experience in marketing, sales, and brand development.
And finally, after several years, my internal battles began to take a major toll by manifesting through addictions and self-destructive behaviors that affected my life and the lives of those around me. My search to save myself was failing, and I finally came to terms with my need for My Savior. So, I returned to Christ, and learned something new about God that I hadn't known before.
"Everyone needs healing," my pastor said. And for 5 consecutive weeks, I returned to church and could be found bawling my eyes out at the end of service. Over that time, and the years to follow, I learned that my identity is unshakably given to me by God, who loves me more than anything in the world - enough to die on a cross in my place and raise from the dead on the third day, defeating death so that we can be together.
I learned that God doesn't just love me. God likes me, too. God made me. Because of this, grace upon grace has been poured out upon me from the Almighty, saving me from death in the very literal and eternal sense of the word.
So, my whole life changed in a matter of months. After meeting my wife and reaching my goal of playing music in front of 10,000 people, I decided to take a break from entrepreneurship. This led to a 7-year journey of working in banking, sales, graphic design, and eventually electrical engineering. My work in graphic design introduced me to the concept of brand strategy, and I quickly realized that the skills I had gained through various experiences were the perfect fit for a career in brand strategy.
During those years, I also finally came to understanding the answer that reconciles the pain of the world with the Love of God. In Matthew chapter 5, The Lord says that "...He gives sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and unjust alike." As this scripture was explained to me, I began to understand that the fallen nature of man has created pain for everyone in the world - indiscriminately. God is with us through it all. His Love shows up, amongst countless other ways, in His Presence during the good times and the bad times. He never abandons us, even while we may choose to abandon Him. His Faithfulness and His Goodness is never ending, never failing, and never changing.
We change. We fail. We end. But He is Constant. He is present. That is one of the many places we can find His Grace. It's in the pain, and it's in the joy, and it's in the hope, and in the despair. He's there with us. Through all of it. And He Always Will Be.
So... over the last several years, I have been working hard alongside my fantastic, beautiful wife Alisha, to build and refine a brand strategy firm that points towards Christ, and helps other Creative Visionaries answer their calling with purpose. Thankfully, that's where I am now, and I look forward to seeing what The Lord has in store for me next.
